Who
the hell is English Dan??
Born
and raised in Braintree, England, Dan takes the role of the "Import"
side of the band's name, and contrary to belief, he does not wear a red coat nor
march in a straight line!_ editors note:- just
thought I should clear that up.
A bass player for a number of
years, Dan is the principal writer of the band's original material, bringing a
funky, jazz, rock styling. He's been accused of "marching to the sound of
a different drum" and with his some what vigorous stage presence the name
"British Jumping Bean" has risen a few times.
His
playing influences come from players such as Les Claypool, Larry Graham, Victor
Wooten and Bootsy Collins, while his musical influences range from classical composers
to jazz and even the Avant Garde.
